The ReQUEST Foundation and Ocean Youth Academy are pleased to announce a new partnership aimed at increasing opportunities for young people to engage with polar science, education, research and expedition experiences. The collaboration was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in August 2026.
Through the partnership, the two organisations will work together to promote educational and expedition opportunities connected to Antarctica, the Arctic and the wider polar regions, helping to remove barriers that prevent young people from participating. Terra Nova Expeditions will serve as the primary operational expedition partner for opportunities developed through the collaboration.
The agreement includes joint outreach and promotional activities, the sharing of educational resources and opportunities, and the development of practical pathways for young people to become involved in polar programmes. It also enables Ocean Youth Academy to refer students seeking financial assistance to the ReQUEST Foundation's funding programmes for UK participants.
