Applications

Minimum Criteria

●       Be aged 16-24 when you complete the project.

●       Be a resident of the UK or a British citizen.

●       Be undertaking or planning to undertake a ‘polar project’, which can include research/technical, education, creative/artistic or an expedition/exploration. We welcome applications for polar-relevant projects of other kinds.

●       You should be a member of a youth organisation such as a school/university, Scouting/Guiding, DofE, charity etc. You must have an advocate who can support your application.

●       An advocate is an adult who is not a family member, who can support your application. We recommend this could be your youth organisation section leader or teacher or your line manager in your youth organisation (e.g. Scout leader, commissioner etc.)

●       You must be an individual. We will not accept applications made on behalf of groups.

●       You can re-apply for the award, whether successful or not previously. We welcome second applications for those who have been successful in the past, however, priority will be given to those who have not received a grant from us previously. One unsuccessful re-application attempt will be accepted if you have been unsuccessful previously.

●       If you are uncertain as to whether your project would qualify, or you have further questions, please contact us at info@requestfoundation.org.uk.

●       Applications must not be retrospective

●       Grant applications will be reviewed by a panel of at least 3 (& odd number of) trustees and approved by 50% +1 trustee.
